Welcome to the Irish Minibike Championship. Since 2018, we’ve been dedicated to making minibike racing inclusive, accessible, and affordable for riders of all ages and abilities. With a strong focus on family-friendly competition, we provide cost-effective track time and a supportive environment to inspire the next generation of racers.

FAQ’s
How do I choose a race number?
You can request your preferred race number when submitting your Membership Form.
What happens if my chosen number is already taken?
Each race number can only be used once in the Senior section and once in the Junior section. If the number you request isn’t available, you’ll receive an email requesting that you select another.
Which class should I register for?
The class you register for depends on your age:
Junior Classes: Ages 6–14
Senior Classes: Ages 14 and above Make sure to double-check your age category before registering!
What are the age and bike requirements for each class?
Minimum Age: Participants must be at least 6 years old.
Bike Regulations: Each class will have specific requirements for minibike style and power output. Check the IMC rules for full details.
Can I change my number or class later?
If you need to change your race number or class after registering, reach out to the IMC team as soon as possible. Changes are subject to availability and must follow IMC guidelines.
What fees or paperwork are required to complete registration?
Registration fees for 2026 are £60. Youth applications require additional documents to confirm proof of age.
Is there a deadline for registration?
No, registration is open throughout the season. Make sure to register early to secure your number!

From mandatory age-appropriate classes to thorough bike inspections, we ensure every participant is set up for a secure experience. All support personnel, including marshals and medics, are fully qualified and trained to handle their roles with expertise. Members also receive guidance on protective gear and bike compliance to meet championship regulations. Our goal is to create a safe and enjoyable environment where you can focus on racing at your best.
The Future is IMC
Classes
The IMC have structured classes to provide what we believe is a forward-thinking Rider Progression plan. We believe that the classes available will facilitate an appropriate path for progression for youth competitors of all abilities and age.
Breakdown of 2026 Classes:
BAMBAM | 6-10yrs
This is the perfect entry-level class for young riders, exclusively using 10TEN 90R machines for a controlled and beginner-friendly experience. Competitors can only participate in the BamBam Class, and those finishing in the top 3 of the championship for two consecutive years must progress to the Junior Gearbox Class.
JUNIOR GEARBOX | 7-12yrs
Open to riders using pitbike-style machines, this class allows up to 125cc capacity (including 90cc and 110cc options). It’s an excellent step up for developing racers ready to take on a bit more speed and challenge.
JUNIOR ELITE | 9-14yrs
Designed for advanced young riders, this class accommodates 140cc 4-stroke or MX 65cc 2-stroke machines in pitbike or MX styles. Riders aged 9 may participate if they’ve completed a full season in the Junior Gearbox Class.
JUNIOR MINI GP | 10-14yrs
Focused on a minibike GP racing style, this class allows machines with a capacity of 140cc 4-stroke, Kayo 150 4-stroke, or 50cc 2-stroke. Riders aged 9 with a full Junior Gearbox season may also join.
SENIOR OPEN | Age 15+
Open to riders with varied experience levels, this class accepts pitbike, CRF150, MX-style, Bucci, Ohvale, Metrakit, Conti, or similar chassis. Engine capacities range from 150cc to 212cc 4-stroke or up to 105cc 2-stroke. Riders aged 14 with prior experience and an MCUI/ACU 2024 license may compete, subject to officials’ approval.
SENIOR STOCK 140CC | Age 14+
For riders using pitbike-style machines, this class features competitive racing at a stock 140cc capacity. It’s a great way to test your skills and enjoy thrilling competition. The class is split into 2 groups based on lap times.
STOCK VETS | Age 35+
This class caters to experienced racers, aged 35 and above, looking to compete with pitbike-style machines in a stock 140cc category.
SENIOR MINI GP | Age 14+
This composite class (final alignment to be confirmed at the opening event of 2026) accommodates machines with a maximum capacity of 140cc or Kayo 150. Entry numbers will determine its structure.
